As you step into La Guajira, you are immediately met with the inviting aromas of well-seasoned dishes that beckon seafood enthusiasts. The reviews highlight a magical experience where portions are generous and flavor is abundant. Customer Mirz AP praises both the extensive buffet and the enticing dessert bar, which includes the option to indulge in ice cream paired with cake. With two buffet options to choose from, you can select one that includes refreshing drinks, such as lemonade, mojitos, and even beers, providing excellent value for just around $290.
The atmosphere is lively and perfect for gatherings, amplified by live music that enhances the dining experience. Although the kitchen closes at 6 PM, as long as there's food available, you're welcome to feast. Do keep in mind that this popular spot can lead to wait times of up to an hour and a half during peak hours, particularly on weekends, a testament to its desirability.
While the buffet is a highlight, some customers, like Sade Ramirez, mention the need to arrive early due to high demand. Although some found the drink options lacking, the overall experience shines through with customer favorites like the beautifully presented creations and the delectable variety that changes throughout the week. Elizabeth Grajales Martinez notes a minor hiccup regarding tipping practices, but it doesn't overshadow the satisfaction derived from the flavorful offerings.
La Guajira - Cocina de Mar is more than just a dining venue; it's an experience filled with flavor, excitement, and a warm ambiance where you can create lasting memories. Embark on a culinary journey that celebrates the sea, and savor every moment at La Guajira!
“ The buffet is extensive and doesn't skimp on portions. There's something for everyone if you enjoy seafood. They're well-seasoned. The dessert bar is also a highlight; you can order ice cream with cake. There are two types of buffet: one without drinks (approx. 170) and another that includes drinks ranging from lemonade to mojitos and palomas to beers (approx. 290). I recommend the one that includes drinks, as there's no limit on what you can consume. The kitchen closes at 6 PM. But as long as there's food, they can serve you. The only downside is that it's very popular, and you can spend between 30 minutes and an hour and a half waiting to get in because it's very busy, especially on Fridays or weekends. I recommend it; there's live music and it's very entertaining. ”
“ Good buffet, variety of dishes, I have been there several times and the food tastes good, I didn't love the prepared drinks. You have to go early because it fills up and you have to wait in line. ”
“ I loved it, it was very delicious, the only bad thing is that if you don't leave a 10% tip, the waitresses will come to the entrance to ask you for more money. ”
“ Excellent presentation of the drinks, good flavor, the variety wasn't much since I went on Tuesday but I suppose on the weekend there is much more variety, 100% recommended ”
